Medals
All marathon and half marathon finishers will receive a 4" Tobacco Road Marathon or a 3.5" Tobacco Road Half Marathon medal at the finish line. There is room on the back for your customized iTab (only $10 and available for purchase when you register for the event) that will include your official race time, place, and name.
T-Shirts & Socks
Every registered runner will be given a Bay Six race t-shirt with our 2012 design on the front, and our amazing sponsors on the back. In addition to the t-shirt, Bay Six is making each runner a pair of socks for the half and full marathon.
T-shirts and socks will be available for pickup at the pre-race Expo only as there is no race-day packet pickup.
In addition, all finishers of the full marathon will receive, via email, a certificate of completion to recognize and celebrate their accomplishment.
Cash Awards
The total prize purse for our 2012 will be announced soon. Our 2011 prize purse was $13,100 and distributed among the overall men and women winners as indicated below:

Awards
Awards are given to the top participants overall and in each age group division for both the full and half marathon. For 2012, we are partnering with a local North Carolina Vineyard and will have a special Tobacco Road Marathon bottle of wine (or sparkling grape juice for under-age winners) with a unique TRM label.

Age Group Awards: Top 3 men and women winners in the Half Marathon and Full Marathon for the divisions listed :
