Red Cross Hosts Volunteer Open House in Raleigh
RALEIGH, Sept. 15, 2017 — Red Cross volunteers serve our neighbors in need every day. They’re installing smoke alarms and on the scene of home fires. They’re assisting life-saving blood donors. They’re working with military members and veterans. They’re responding to major disasters like Hurricanes Harvey and Irma. The Triangle Chapter of the Red Cross in Raleigh is seeking volunteers to help deliver its mission in the community, and will host an Open House on Tuesday, Sept. 19, for interested individuals to learn more.

When: Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2017
Where: American Red Cross of the Triangle Area
Time: 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Who: Open to the public to learn more about becoming a Red Cross volunteer! Enjoy refreshments and sign up to help your community! Volunteers make up 90 percent of the Red Cross workforce and represent a variety of age groups and skill sets. There are many different opportunities and all training is provided for volunteers.
